I specifically watched Lester Holts nightly news cast on NBC. He was charismatic and easy to watch. A problem with this station was they covered a couple peripheral celebrity stories. Especially on the third day when the reports covered Lady Gaga and Michelle Obama news. However, I was impressed with how many core stories the broadcast covered each night. They covered a lot more than my two Utah stations. The total score of the third day was brought down because of too many unnamed sources. They credited unspecific sources such as lawyers and officials. I found there was not very much diversity in any of their stories. The best the news outlet did was on presenting controversy fairly. They did a good job of at least telling what both sides to the story were. They gave facts and time to many sides of a story a lot more often than any of my other news stations.
